breakout-claude
v0.1.0Route an idea that surfaces mid-task but does not belong to the current repository into its own repo and its own agent, without derailing the work in flight. Uses the cross-session SendMessage/ListAgents layer added in Claude Code 2.1.224 for a push-model handoff: the seed brief is written to disk in the new repo and the message carries a pointer to it. Companion to interrupt-claude (same-repo interruption routing) and Claude-Hopper (session spawning and handover); breakout splits tracks rather than work or time.

Route an idea that surfaced mid-task but does not belong to the current repository into its own new repository and its own agent, without derailing the work in flight. Triggers when the user says something like "wait, separate idea", "this is a different project", "that should be its own repo", "unrelated, but while I think of it", or describes work whose deliverable would not live in this repo's tree. Creates the repo, writes a seed brief, spawns and addresses a second session, then returns to the original task. Do NOT use for work that belongs in this repo — that is an interruption, file it as a task instead. Do NOT use for carrying the current work into a fresh session — that is a handover.
Pick up a repository that was created as a breakout and start work on it, rather than asking the user what to do. Triggers when a session starts in a repo containing docs/brief.md, when a cross-session message says a brief is waiting, when the user says "you were spawned for this" or "read your brief and start", or when the working directory is a near-empty repo whose only real content is a seed document. Reads the brief, confirms the first step in one line, and begins. Do NOT use in an established repo with its own history and README.
