실행된 제품 검증의 plan, 실제 절차와 관찰 결과를 대조하여 supported, invalidated, inconclusive, invalid 또는 not-run 상태를 판정한다. 제품 experiment, prototype test, 인터뷰 검증이나 출시 지표의 결과를 해석할 때 사용한다. 새 test 설계, 실험 실행과 제품 결정 승인에는 사용하지 않는다.

현재 대화, 승인된 탐색 결과, issue와 기존 문서에 이미 합의된 제품 내용을 검증 가능한 PRD로 새로 작성하거나 갱신한다. 준비된 요구사항을 PRD 또는 product specification으로 변환할 때 사용한다. 핵심 결정이 부족하면 문서를 만들지 않고 누락된 정보와 다음 행동을 직접 설명한다.
