Agent-driven onboarding to a shared crew workspace. Use when an operator wants to join a crew repo, the workspace is not cloned locally, or the operator provides a crew-repo pointer. The engine discovers or resolves the workspace, offers once, clones through an overlay-supplied identity provider, maps stable identity to alias through `_meta/desks.md`, copies and verifies the complete `desks/_template/` tree for a new member before registry mutation, scopes writes to `desks/<alias>/`, installs declared tooling, loads repo context, and restarts only when required. Vendor-neutral; identity, transport, and private plugin details come from an overlay.
Answer "what would `<person>` think about X / what's `<person>` working on / what's actually agreed vs just a fact" against a multi-person shared crew workspace -- read that person's `desks/<alias>/` and answer AS their view, labeled as theirs (never team gospel); read `_shared/decisions/` for what's agreed (honest "no team decision yet" when empty); read `_shared/landscape/` for team-neutral facts. Invoke when asked any perspective-shaped or status-shaped question about a teammate, when asked whether something is agreed/decided, or when asked to distinguish one person's stance from team fact. Operationalizes the facts-vs-perspectives-vs-decisions taxonomy from `shared-desk-conventions`. Requires a shared workspace with a `desks/` + `_shared/` layout.
The multi-person shared-workspace layout variant -- one git repo, N operators, `desks/<alias>/` = one person's full desk, `_shared/{landscape,decisions}/` = team-neutral facts + agreed decisions; read-across / write-own; the facts-vs-perspectives-vs-decisions content taxonomy (every opinion attributed to its holder); and the invisible conflict-safe write protocol (`desks/<you>/` = direct push; a shared path = auto pull-`main` → branch → write → PR → merge-now, NO human review). Invoke when working in a shared crew repo that has a `desks/` + `_shared/` layout, when deciding where a piece of content belongs (a fact vs an opinion vs an agreed decision), or when about to write to a path outside your own `desks/<alias>/` subtree. The multi-person overlay for `desk:directory-structure`.
