On each turn it saves the prompt and assistant reply, with common secret patterns redacted and code blocks moved out of the text; code blocks from the reply are saved separately, also redacted and size-capped (VONIC_CAPTURE_CODE=0 stops that). It also sends the repository-relative paths of files you edited and the repository, branch, author and commit (VONIC_CAPTURE_FILES=0 drops the paths). Never sends reasoning, commands, command output, tool I/O, or diffs. Redaction is best effort, not a guarantee.",
