The a-star process, and its entry point: pick a card up, make it ready, and offer the next dart or drive from its ready sub-goals. Every other a-star skill loads this one first — it carries the loop, the roles, where sub-goals come from, the structure/behaviour split, what a-star records, and what it needs the project to say. Use when the user says "/a-star <card>", "pick up <card>", "start work on <card>", "refine this card", or resumes a card from an earlier session.
Reach a ready card's goal end-to-end with the dart agent, triaging what it raises as it goes — increments ready to land, findings that invalidate the plan, questions about the route — and harvesting the sub-goals it found. Use when `/a-star` offers a dart, or the user says "dart this", "throw a dart", "throw the dart".
Land one ready sub-goal to the project's standards, in one of two modes: a tidy changes structure, an advance changes behaviour. Where a dart takes the straight line to the goal, a drive takes the road — the coding standards, tests, definition of done and review the dart ignored. A tidy can interrupt the work in hand: decide now, later or never, park the work, land the tidy, and resume. Recursive — a tidy can be interrupted by another. Use when the user says "drive <sub-goal>", "land this", "tidy <what>", "this needs a tidy first", "pause, let's tidy that", picks a sub-goal offered by `/a-star`, `a-star:dart` or another drive, or a dart or drive turns up a structure change.
Put this a-star session in primary mode: the user is actively watching its progress, so they steer as it goes. Sessions start primary; use this to switch back from secondary. Use when the user says "/a-star:primary", "I'm back", "switch to primary", or returns to a session they'd left running.
Put this a-star session in secondary mode: the user isn't watching, so the session decides what it can, records every decision for review, and parks what it can't — rather than waiting on an answer. Use when the user says "/a-star:secondary", "I'm going AFK", "carry on without me", "switch to secondary", or hands a ready card to a session they won't watch.
